Summer is over. Yay!

So I think I've said this 100 times but I really don't like summer.

1. It's hot. And this past summer now holds the record for the hottest summer ever for Utah. So when I say it's hot, it's hot. I don't enjoy being hot. If you do you should seek mental help because you are not normal. Nothing more miserable to me than being sweaty and gross.

2. Busy time of year for Robert's work. This means he works even more than usual. Not only that but he works outside. See #1.

Despite the fact that it's hotter than you know what and Robert was pretty much never home (and I had a newborn), we still managed to come up with a list of fun things to do over the summer.

Go to the zoo
 Eat peanut butter
 Hold your baby brother
 Never comb your hair
Hold all kinds of snakes

 Ride horses

 Get your face painted
Try desperately to win a goldfish
Make funny faces
 Go ice skating

 Fall down
 Watch lots of movies
Hold your baby brother some more
 Play with your sister
 Eat some cake
Make new friends
 Hold to the iron rod
 Learn to swim
 Fly to space
 Bowl with your family
 Be the best baby ever
 Get lots of strikes
Watch some baseball (or A LOT of baseball)
 Be handsome
 Grow too fast
 Ugh, hold more snakes
 Frolic in the forest
 Lose all your teeth

That about sums up our summer!

Terrible Two!

This girl is something else. She's our feisty little spitfire. Such a handful. We always say that if she was like this before I got pregnant with Logan....well let's just say Logan wouldn't be here right now! She can be pretty hard these days. But she's also the cutest thing on the planet. Hilarious and super sweet. And crazy smart. She talks a TON, knows all her colors, shapes, can count to 11, and recognizes some letters. So she's pretty much ready for kindergarten. ;) She also dresses herself and is currently trying to potty train herself! She says her prayers by herself too, which is pretty adorable. She melts my heart when I watch her playing with her baby dolls. So precious. But almost all the fights in our house involve her. Can't wait until she's a teenager!

No doubt our family wouldn't be the same without her! Love you Carly girl!!

The Blessing of our Little Man

On July 7th we blessed Logan in church. Robert gave a beautiful blessing that I pretty much bawled through. I love that man.

After sacrament meeting, we had everyone over to our house for refreshments. I went with a "Little Man" theme because look at this kid! He's a little man!

We have 12:30 church so it was about 2:00 in the afternoon when everyone came over. We opted to keep the food light and just have snacks. Rolls and butter, chips, veggies, fruit, my moms AH-MAZING chocolate chip cookies and neck tie shaped sugar cookies with bottled water and Capri Sun for the kids.

Thanks to everyone that came! It was such a great day. So crazy to think we'll never have another baby blessing. It's such a special time to welcome a new spirit into your family. I'm going to miss this stage so I'm glad we could end it on a high note. Beautiful blessing with amazing family and friends!
