Logan's Seussical First Birthday!!!

My little baby boy turned 1 at the end of May. I can't believe how fast the last year went. This boy is just the sweetest, most adorable kid. Gosh I love him. A little about him at 1 year:

On his birthday he had four teeth. Two top, two bottom. He now has six. Four on top, two on bottom.

He started walking about a week and a half ago. Goes up stairs way faster than I can catch him but so far hasn't fallen down them. At least not all the way!

Has always been a chunk. 23 pounds at his 1 year check up. Short and chubby. :)

His hair is coming in BLONDE. Very blonde. Practically white. I'm sad to see the red hair disappear but now he's a toe-head like his daddy was.

He talks non-stop. Just what we need in our house! Another kid that talks all the time! He says mom, dad, here, uh oh, and hi. He jabbers all day but those are the distinguishable words.

In case his chub didn't give it away he loves to eat! A few months ago I would have said his favorite food was pancakes but now I definitely have to say it's spaghetti. The only thing we have found that he's not super fond of is green beans.

He spent the majority of his first year being absolutely obsessed with his dad. Like he would scream if I took him from his dad. If Robert was around he wouldn't even come to me. It was crazy. Frankly I didn't mind! But over the last few weeks he's started to like me more. Darn. :)

He loves music and sings along. Carly has a Little Mermaid necklace and when you push a button it has Ariel singing. Logan will sing identical to Ariel. It's quite funny. But music always calms him down.

The kid is a maniac and NEVER holds still. Church is a treat.

He loves his siblings so much. He always wants to play with them (which they love. NOT.). He thinks he's a big kid and loves to wrestle with dad just like his siblings. He loves to play cars and whenever he gets one in his hand he pushes it on the floor and says VROOM! Adorable.

Anyway, I just love this kid. I think I kiss his cheeks at least 400 times a day. No joke. He is just a sweetheart and gives such tender hugs and kisses. Other then his less than stellar sleeping habits he is absolutely perfect. Couldn't ask for a better baby to bring up the rear!

On to the party pics!
I was not very good at taking pictures but we started by having all the guests write a note and sign a copy of the book "Happy Birthday to You" by Dr. Seuss.

Here's all the food. Inspired by several different Dr. Seuss books. Cat in the Hat hats.

Beezle Nut stew
One fish, two fish...
Green eggs and ham sandwiches

This was Logan's cake. I made similar looking cupcakes for everyone else.
Trufala trees and the food.
See?! He's adorable. So much personality.
We had a bounce house for the kids.
 Eating their "Hop on Popsicles"

I forgot to take a picture of the pizza pockets until the end of the party. I thought it was the most clever thing! There's a Wocket in my Pizza Pocket! Haha!
Happy 1st Birthday my Logan boy!

Photo Dump

I'm getting complaints from grandmas about not updating this thing so I said I would do a photo dump of the kids. So here you go! This dates all the way back to Chase's birthday so.....yeah.

This girl. We had some rough times over the fall.
 Halloween

Our pumpkins. L-R oldest to youngest.

Our new piano. Well not new, actually extremely old but new to us!
 Handsome men!
 Elfie came back! Christmas time.
And brought a new toy! Little People Nativity

I mean seriously. I love this kid.

 A little light reading.
This is why Logan needed a haircut.
After his first haricut! So handsome.
Our kids think Elfie is hilarious. I take that as a compliment!
Carly loaded the dishwasher all by herself and did a pretty darn good job!
 Emily got glasses!
 7 months!

What four year old doesn't need a 7 foot long stuffed rattlesnake?

Setting up and organizing her gifts. Not at all like her mom used to do. ;)
 Too much handsomeness.
Carly REALLY wanted to open presents.
We got my dad this signed Fran Tarkenton jersey. His childhood hero.

 Seriously.
I'll stop here because I'm tired. :)
